The Fund for an Inclusive California is now accepting Letters of Inquiry from organizations based in Inland Empire.

The Fund for an Inclusive California (F4ICA) hosted by Common Counsel Foundation is a three-year statewide collaborative fund focused on strengthening the voice, influence, and power of low-income communities and communities of color advancing community-driven solutions to the crisis of neighborhood displacement and gentrification.

The fund is designed to respond proactively to the scale and urgency of California’s housing crisis by increasing resources for community power building strategies to ensure that low-income communities and communities of color have actual decision-making ability and agency to advance equitable development.

Anchored in a power-building framework, the Fund for an Inclusive California will invest in local organizing groups as well as multiracial and multi-issue coalitions, networks, and movement partner organizations working to enable greater strategic coordination across issue areas, populations, and geographies. Over the next three years, the fund seeks to disburse a total of $7 million in the Bay Area, Central Valley, Inland Empire, and Los Angeles, and for statewide efforts.

In the Inland Empire, the fund aims to award approximately $600,000 in grants to 3-5 local organizations over the next three years.

Letters of Inquiry must be submitted no later than July 22, 2019, at 5:00 pm PST through Common Counsel Foundation’s online grant portal.

Step 1: Please review the attached grantmaking guidelines, selection criteria, and Democratizing Development Framework before submitting the LOI. Due to the limited number of grants the fund will be able to make, we encourage interested applicants to contact us with any questions before submitting an LOI.

Step 2: Read and follow the attached Instructions To Apply document.
