Resist Accepting Applications for General Support of Grassroots Justice and Liberation Movements.

  Grant Amount: Grants of up to $4,000 are available.


Resist supports people’s movements for justice and liberation by redistributing resources back to frontline communities at the forefront of change while amplifying their stories of building a better world. The foundation funds organizations that:

  •  Organize within communities for structural social and economic change
  •  Work in alliance and coalition with other social justice organizations
  •  Have an intersectional / cross-issue analysis
  •  Are led by frontline communities and/or be in solidarity with frontline communities


To be eligible, applicants must have an organizational budget under $150,000 per year; carry out most of their work in the United States; submit progress reports for all prior Resist grants, and be a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status as determined by the IRS, be a federally recognized American Indian tribal government or agency, be sponsored by one of the above, or contact Resist before applying.
