T-Mobile Project 10Million

  Grant Amount: $500

Project 10Million is an initiative aimed at delivering internet connectivity to millions of underserved student households at no cost to them. Partnering with school districts across the country, the program offers free wireless hotspots and free high-speed data – and access to at-cost laptops and tablets (up to the value of approximately $500).

And as the COVID-19 pandemic makes remote learning the new norm for millions of students across the U.S., the Un-carrier is enhancing Project 10Million to offer more low-cost data options, including unlimited, for school districts to pass on to student households at no cost to them. Each eligible student can still get the 100GB/year plan for FREE OR their school district can apply that same subsidy value of approx. $500 towards plans that offer more data. One new plan offers 100GB per month – about 3x the data we saw used by students at start of pandemic.

And we’re offering an unlimited option, too. All options are still completely free to students!

School districts can apply on behalf of their students to participate. Project 10Million offers free hotspots and 100GBs/year and access to at-cost laptops and tablets, to eligible students participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) - one per household. Districts will need identify and qualify students as being NSLP-participants. We also enhanced Project 10Million to offer more low-cost data options, including unlimited, for school districts to pass on to all of their students at no cost to them.

Note: Students or parents (of students) who wish to enroll should talk to their school administrator (Principal or Counsellor) to see if their school district is participating in Project 10Million.

If your school district is already signed up, work with your school administrator to see if your child is eligible.
If your district hasn’t signed up, talk to your school administrator about starting the application process. The first step for the school district is to fill out the Interest Form via the link on this page. Parents can also take action by filling out the “Raise a Hand” form on this page to connect your school district with a T-Mobile Government Account Expert who will work with them to see if the district is a good fit for the program.
T-Mobile retail stores and T-Mobile customer care are not able to enroll individual students.
