The BoatUS Foundation Accepting Applications for Boating Projects.

  Grant Amount: Each year, up to twenty winners each receive $10,000 to support their service work or higher education.

Information

The BoatUS Foundation is currently accepting applications to its Grassroots Grants Program for creative projects that promote safe and clean boating on local waterways. Past topics have ranged from PSAs on the effects of boating under the influence to hands-on education and the effects of marine debris. Projects the foundation is interested in funding will be unique (topic, methods, or delivery mechanism); include extensive outreach to boaters; use technology to educate boaters, including social media and the Web; have a widespread reach (not just a handful of boaters); include hands-on work with the boating community; and have a way to measure the success of the program.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must be young leaders between the ages of 8 and 18; a permanent resident currently residing in the United States; currently working on an inspiring service project or done so within the past twelve months.
