The Harpo Foundation Seeks Applications for New Art Projects by Under-Recognized Artists.

Grant Amount: Grants of up to $10,000 are available.

Information

The Harpo Foundation seeks applications for new artwork. Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations in support of new work by under-recognized artists age 21 or older. The foundation will consider proposals that directly support the production of new work by visual artists and/or collaborative teams who are under-recognized in their field. Production of work may happen in the context of an installation, public intervention, residency, or exhibition.
Applications are evaluated on the basis of the quality of the artist’s work, the potential to expand aesthetic inquiry, and its relationship to the foundation’s priority to provide support to visual artists who are under-recognized by the field.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicant organizations must be considered tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
