Grant Amount: Grants range from $50,000 to $100,000.

Information

The New York Life Foundation supports capacity-building efforts for organizations that are expanding their services for grieving youth. The Foundation offers its support to organizations offering bereavement services to grieving youth through the following two funding categories:

  • Community Expansion Grants — Organizations can expand services to bereaved children and youth, either by expanding into a new geographical region, expand to serve more individuals, expand services to a new population, or start a new service under an existing bereavement program. 
  • Capacity-Building Grants — Organizations can enhance organizational capacity, development, and effectiveness. Capacity-building efforts can include strategic planning, staff/board development, technical assistance, and outside support services, improvement of internal operations, and technology improvements.
