Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations Accepting Proposals for Fund for Just Society.

Grant Amount: Grants range from $6,000 to $15,000.

Information

The Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (UUAC) is accepting proposals from nonUnitarian Universalist groups in the U.S. and Canada for community organizing campaigns aimed at creating systemic change in the economic, social, and political structures that affect the lives of those who have been excluded from resources, power, and the right to determination. Through the Fund for Just Society, UUAC supports projects that are less likely to receive conventional funding because of the innovative or challenging nature of the work or the economic and social status of the constituency.

Grants are made to non-Unitarian Universalist groups in the U.S. and Canada that meet all three of the following criteria: 1) use community organizing to bring about systemic change* leading to a more just society; 2) mobilize those who have been disenfranchised and excluded from resources, power and the right to self-determination; and 3) have an active focused campaign to create systemic change.

Eligibility

Eligibility is limited to nonprofit organizations that have active, specific campaigns to create change in the economic, social, and political structures that affect their lives.
