The purpose of the Homeownership Counseling Grant Program is to provide financial resources to local nonprofit housing organizations to create affordable and sustainable homeownership opportunities for low-to-moderate income (LMI) homebuyers.

The Wells Fargo Foundation will be accepting grant applications from eligible nonprofit organizations for programs or projects that qualify for one of the following HCGP Program Segment types:

  • Homebuyer Counseling
  • Homebuyer Education
  • Foreclosure Prevention

Please note, The Homeownership Counseling Grant Program funding will be exclusive to housing counseling only.

For complete program guidelines and instructions on how to apply, please visit the HCGP website at:  https://www.wellsfargo.com/about/wfhf/homeownership_guideline

To obtain additional information on the Wells Fargo Foundation or its programs, please feel free to contact the Wells Fargo Foundation at 612-667-5131HousingPhilanthropy@wellsfargo.com

Please understand that this invitation to apply does not guarantee that your nonprofit organization will receive a grant.  Each year we must decline many meaningful appeals for the simple but important reason that our funds are limited, while requests for those funds are less limited.
