General Responsibilities

The Manager-Annual Giving is responsible for the leadership, development and implementation of a robust annual giving program. Manages a team of annual giving officers who raise funds on behalf of the institution’s hospitals, schools and programs. Oversees a comprehensive philanthropy communications program, including management of a philanthropy writer and taskforce. Ensures implementation of a robust digital giving and communications program. Works closely with the other Advancement teams to accomplish goals. Performs other duties as needed.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Three years of experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations, business or related field required. One year of supervisory experience preferred. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.

Broad knowledge of quality, patient safety, performance improvement, regulatory requirements, medical staff structure, peer review and legal aspects of care. Knowledge of quality, performance improvement and patient safety programs that are data-driven and utilize tools such as the rapid cycle testing, Lean, and Six Sigma. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Requires human relations and interpersonal skills in order to demonstrate an outgoing, tactful, congenial, sensitive response to needs of others. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Salary/Pay Rate

Salary Range: Minimum Salary $65,478.40, Midpoint Salary $85,082.40, Maximum Salary $104,686.40
