General Responsibilities

Marketing and Fund Development will be in charge of all communications and community outreach activities for The Arc of Riverside County. These activities may include fundraising, grant writing, press releases—primarily in digital format, online social media and website management, and help with special events and public advocacy. This person will work directly with the Executive Director of our agency.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  •  Degree in some area of social science, communication or journalism is highly recommended.
  •  At least two years of working experience in an area or areas listed above.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Produce marketing materials for our agency
  •  Speak on behalf of the agency to target audiences such as service clubs, civic organizations and others
  •  Grant writing-applying for grants, both new and existing; managing paperwork for all grant awards, such as agreements, and year-end reports
  •  Helps plan and implement public events for the agency such as fundraising and banquets
  •  Contributes to advocacy projects associated with our mission
  •  Social media management
  •  Conducts other tasks as directed by the Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS/JOB REQUIREMENTS

  •  Must be organized, able to multi-task and function in a busy environment
  •  Strong interpersonal, written and oral communications skills (Must present a positive attitude.)
  •  Computer literacy to include working knowledge of the following or a demonstrable ability to learn them quickly; cloud management, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, e-mail marketing (Benchmark), Survey Monkey or related software, grant writing search engine, content management system such as WordPress, basic graphic design skills, and knowledge of social media networks
  •  Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
  •  Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record
  •  Must clear a criminal background check

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

  •  Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer
  •  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

FLSA STATUS: Full Time, position, M-F 8-5PM

PAY RATE:  Non-Exempt $24.00 per hour
