The Inland Empire region of Riverside County and San Bernardino County has over 4.5 million residents and has grown dramatically since 2010. The #2020Census is critical to help ensure fair representation and funding for our region, as well as accurate market intelligence for a rapidly growing community.

The Inland Empire is also coming together in incredible ways—with collaborations across sectors and across regions—that are building our collective ability to understand our diverse communities and the policies affecting them.

2020 Census: How to Get Involved

The 2020 Census provides an opportunity for everyone to be counted. Tribal, state, and local governments; community-based organizations; faith-based groups; schools; businesses; the media; and others play a key role in developing partners to educate and motivate residents to participate in the 2020 Census.

When community members are informed, they are more likely to respond to the census. Through collaborative partnerships, the U.S. Census Bureau and community leaders can reach the shared goal of counting EVERYONE in 2020.

Determining Representation

Ensuring the Inland Empire Counts!

The Inland Empire is a vibrant community filled with innovative ideas, diverse communities, and abundant opportunity. San Bernardino and Riverside counties are home to over 4 million people, nearly a million of which are immigrants and two-thirds of which are people of color. The City of Riverside is one of the fastest growing cities in the country and San Bernardino County is the largest in size in the nation. The community knows this because we live here, and the nation will soon come to know it because of the census.
