California Department of Education – Migrant Education
Information
The California Department of Education is accepting applications to the Migrant Education program.
The purpose of the Migrant Education Program is to ensure that all migratory students can meet the same challenging state academic standards that all children are expected to meet. Funding supports high-quality, comprehensive educational programs to help overcome educational disruption, cultural and language barriers, social isolation, varying health-related needs, and other factors that inhibit the ability of migratory children to succeed in schools.
Funding is designated to the 15 Migrant Education Regions and five Direct Funded Districts.
