Information

The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is accepting proposals for the Bullying & Violence in School Advocacy (XB) Supplemental program.
The purpose of the program is to provide counseling, advocacy, and other support services to children/teenagers who have been
victimized by bullying and /or school violence.
Funding provided under this program must not be used to support prevention-focused activities or initiatives.
Programmatic Components:
  • Counseling: Subrecipients must provide counseling to children/teenagers who have been victimized by bullying and/or school violence. Counseling must be free of charge.
  • Advocacy and Support Services: In addition to counseling, Subrecipients must also provide advocacy and services that support children/teenagers who have been victimized by bullying and/or school violence. Advocacy and support services may include, but are not limited to:
  1. Anonymous tip line
  2. Criminal justice advocacy
  3. Crisis intervention
  4. Safety planning
  5. Referrals for supportive services
Match
A 20% match is required.

Eligibility

To be eligible to receive funds:
Be a nonprofit or governmental agency.
Have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM). Applicants who do not currently have a UEI will need to register at SAM.gov to obtain one.
