Division of Boating and Waterways Local Assistance QZ Mussel Infestation Prevention Grant

Information

Provides funding for prevention plans and implementation activities that help protect California’s reservoirs from Quagga and Zebra (dreissenid) mussel infestation.

Eligibility

Public Agency

The applicant must own or manage any aspect of the water in the reservoir(s).

The reservoir(s) must be open to the public for recreation and be free of Quagga and Zebra mussels.

The applicant must provide Quagga and Zebra mussel early-detection monitoring data no older than March of the previous year when applying.
